Wedding Planning Tips For Dummy
Wedding planning folders are a wedding planner’s
best friend. If you are a bride to be, mother of the bride or anyone
involved in planning
a wedding then you need wedding planning folders.
They also make great gifts for the bride. A maid or matron of honor,
mother of the bride, or other close friend can be the one to purchase
this for the bride. It will be something she can keep as a memory
of what went into the event.
What exactly are wedding planning folders? These should be part
of your wedding binder – you do have one don’t
you?
Get a bunch of 2 sided pocket folders, divider tabs or pages, zippered
pouches and clear page protectors.
You will want to mark each section. Some ideas are flowers,
caterers, photographers, videographers,
DJ’s and music or wedding
hymns, jewelers, wedding
planners, reception halls, printers, and bridal shops.
Also have a zippered pouch for pens, pencils, markers, and post
it notes. Also keep a sheet in the front for important phone numbers,
and email addresses.
Eventually you will want a calendar to schedule tastings,
dress fittings, meetings, dates deposits
are due, dates confirmations are required, etc.
Now that you have all of this set up what do you do? Start filling
your wedding planning folders with information from all of the above
vendors. Go over with your fiancé, parents, and friends to
help you get an idea of what you are going to want.
At this time you may also know who you want as your maid/matron
of honor. This person will be a tremendous help for you in the coming
year so be sure to call on them when you need help. You will have
vendors chomping at the bit to get you business.
Get their contact information, and literature and review it at
your leisure. Never make an instant decision. This way you can decide
on what you really want without any pressure from the vendor.
Once you make your decisions, your binders will become smaller.
However do not throw away everything you did not choose. Keep information
on your second choice in case something happens.
You wedding planning folders will keep you organized. You can take
the information from them and put it into your PDA or planner.
Everyday you will be able to tell at a glance who needs to be
called, what meetings and appointments are scheduled and who needs
a deposit sent or confirmation. You may also want to mark when you
need to finalize menus, dress fittings, flower arrangements, etc.
You can get free wedding planning folders online that can be printed
out. You can buy wedding binders at bookstores or online retailers.
These are nicely printed and well organized. Or you can do it yourself,
like mentioned above.
All in all, wedding planning folders will keep you organized. This
will make planning and arranging
you wedding easier and less stressful for you and those around
you. Maybe get one for a friend who is getting married. They will
appreciate the thoughtful gift.
