Wedding Registry Knot

Wedding Planning For Dummy

Where do you go for your wedding Registry? Knot Inc. is a great place to start. The Knot inc. is the owner of the most popular wedding site on the internet, theknot.com.

They have a specialized way of helping you select what you want based on your personality type and or through a quiz. Friends and Family can lookup the registry and buy for the bride and groom.

Who is The Knot and what kind of registry do they have? The Knot, Inc. has joined up with Macy’s Wedding and Gift Registry to offer a registry service called the Lifestyle Registry, located at theknot.com.

Macy’s now is the exclusive vendor at theknot until 2009. This really completes their website as a free one stop place for wedding planning. Here you can use an online wedding planner, make guest lists, get invitations and now sign up for a registry as well.

You can also see the latest in dress fashions, watch the knot TV, plan a budget, or find a honeymoon destination. No wonder it is the most popular wedding website on the internet.

How do you use the wedding registry at the knot? You can take their quiz. It’s short and not terribly difficult. After about 10 questions (could be less) on your lies and dislikes they come up with registry selections for you.

So as an author (but one who is already married), I tried it and found that it was amazingly accurate. Most of the pre selected gifts on the registry list were to my taste and style and I would love to have any of them.

So give the quiz a try, it beats sitting there clicking online for hours. You can also click on items by category or by lifestyle type (are you young and adventurous, older and mature, etc…)

How do you get to the wedding registry at the knot? Go to the knot.com and select registry. If you are not registered as a user and you want to add a registry, you will have to register. It is quick, simple and free.

They do not ask for much personal information. You will want to add in your wedding date for planning purposes. If you are looking to buy from someone’s registry, you do not have to register.

All you need is to type in the brides first and last name and their registry will come up. There is no ability to search for a person’s registry. First and last name of the bride is required. You can then shop for them and pay online. It is quick and easy, all in one place.

Once you have signed up for the wedding registry knot, be sure to let all of your friends and family know that you are registered. A registry will not help you if nobody knows about it.

You can send emails or just a quick written note or phone call to make it known. Who should you call, check theknot.com and look at your guest list. These are the people you want to inform of your registry.
